I have 2 weeks left of university, and 24 days until my final semester actually ends. I am 21, I do not want to grow up. So, upon reflection i will list some of the things that University has taught me.
1. Naps are no longer restricted for the elderly.
2. Two meals will do you fine, mainly because you won't be up before 12 most days, even if you have a 9am lecture.
3.Your A-Level results don't count. Nobody cares if you got three A's because there will be people smarter than you.
4. Cash Machines which only offer £20 notes are the devils advocate. Find another one which offers tenners unless you want to regret the fact you spent your food money for a fortnight on vodka.
5. You will NEVER complain about your mum's cooking again.
6. Food and Bills are more expensive than you thought.
7. It's acceptable to spend every Wednesday night in socially inappropriate/revealing fancy dress. You will also wake up the next morning with none of it left.
8. People who make great friends, don't always make great housemates.
9. Poundland/Savers will be your personal hygiene saviour, shampoo, soap etc.
10. There will be one lecturer who you dont like.
11. There will be one lecturer who doesn't like you.
12. You will never spend so much time on iPlayer/4od/Facebook/Twitter
13. Join a team and they will become some of the best friends you have ever had.
14. You won't be bothered with phoning your parents anymore, skype is so much easier
15. You will however be bothered to call them if you need money/food and don't want to see their faces of dispointment on your laptop screen.
16. Procrastination will become 2nd nature.
17. Whether you like it or not, the library WILL become your 2nd home.
18. Librarians are people who couldnt make it in any other industry, you need to pity them and their bad atttitudes. Library fines are a bitch
19. You won't be able to afford heating. Wear 2pairs of leggings and a steal a boy's hoodie to wear in bed,
20. You won't know how much you miss it, until it's too late. So do everything, and say yes to everything, before your three years are up.
